Learning to Love Vegetables

Impossible, you might say, especially if the vegetables you ate growing up were boiled into oblivion. Or maybe yours were embalmed as canned vegetables or cryogenically frozen. Treated with such disrespect, it’s easy to understand why many of us avoid vegetables, and lose out on the most life sustaining and disease preventing food available to us.

Vegetables (and fruits, too) are rich in special molecules called phytochemicals. Phyto simply means plant. Phytochemicals give plants their characteristic color, smell, taste and texture. They help the plant protect itself from disease and predators. We get the same benefit when we eat properly prepared vegetables and fruits. Food from animals, such as meat and milk, do not have this effect. The greatest benefit comes from a eating a variety of phytochemicals and is as simple as selecting vegetables and fruits of different colors. The array of colors will make your plate look more appetizing, too.

The easiest way to prepare vegetables is to eat them raw. One of my favorite simple meals is a bowl of soup with carrot sticks, celery sticks spread with pumpkin seed butter, sliced fruit and a piece of whole grain bread. Green salad is also easy. Visit your nearest organic farmers market and check out the bounty of baby greens available right now. Toss with some raw walnuts, fresh berries and balsamic vinaigrette.

Another way to prepare vegetables is to steam them. Add your vegetables to a saucepan, then add a small amount of water,

What Energies are in Your Body

It’s really all about choice. What we think we want in life and the life we actually live, all comes down to the choices we make every moment of the day. When we choose to put unhealthy substances into our bodies an energy shift occurs. Poor choices result in negative energies in our bodies and in turn result in disease and aging. When one decides to choose to live a life of vibrant health one needs to learn to make choices to change the energies from negative to positive. You need to choose to bring into the body the energies which will restore your body to a state of optimal health. If you want to have an ageless body you need to create an environment where positive energy forces are in control.

We need to learn how to manipulate these energies in our bodies and change them to positive energies. The choices we make in what we eat, drink and what we think about all have an effect on our bio-electric energy. When we learn what is good for our energy and what is not, and then choose to put the good energy into our bodies then and only then will we be able to create change in our bodies from the inside out.

More and more research is finding that disease is manifested by negative energies within our bodies. Vibrational Medicines can halt and even reverse aging, disease, and poor health. Since quantum physics has proven that everything in the universe is energy and all energy has a vibrational frequency, one need to realize that limiting the negative energies or vibrations in our body and increasing the positive vibrations will create and environment of healthy living.

When we realize that we are made up of energy and are more than a pile of flesh, blood and bones and that we are a part of the same energy that makes up the universe we must align ourselves with this source of energy and allow positive energies into our bodies to create a positive healthy environment. Just as when polluted places on this planet were given the time to replenish themselves by not allowing dumping of waste in rivers and streams, or setting up reserves to not allow vehicles and people to destroy and beat down the environment, the planet has actually been able to repair itself and come back to a place vibrant in energy and life. Learn to make the choices which will bring those positive energies back into your life and allow the energy to permeate your body and restore your heath to vibrant and positive energies.

How To Put On A Great BBQ

Want to throw a party for extraordinary event, and then barbecue party is the one of the type that will make the whole event a memorable one! As eating outdoors is a much loved activity liked by everyone and planning the event can help make it more memorable and tranquil for the host. A barbecue party requires an adequate amount of planning and preparation to ensure that everything is laid out properly whether big or small.
The very first thing that you should plan about is the theme of the party that could range from Hawaiian motif, nostalgic seventies get-together, or, if you are near the sea, opt for a beach barbecue party and then plan all aspects of the party such as the food, games and decorations can be fashioned around a central theme.

The other important aspect of the party is planning the menu, as most guests will be looking forward to an array of lip-smacking roasted meats dripping in barbecue sauce, it should be inline with the theme of the party.

Barbecue on the Beach Anyone?

Barbecue bash on the beach could be one memorable event that your guests will be looking for from you in future as well. The whole process of grilling and barbecuing as a cooking technique is that it’s fun, exciting and very rewarding and if done on beach, it is certainly going to double the enjoyment, as the beach pretty much radiates the same atmosphere. You can also plan some interesting games and add extra fun and exciting to the activities that you do at the beach. It’s a place where people can be themselves in their ‘bare essentials’ and the relaxation factor is definitely rewarding. Putting these two brilliant concepts together, a barbecue on the beach is pretty much a recipe for a great time!

Make before you pack your stuff, gear up your grill and hit the sand for one hell of a barbecue on the beach party sure that you are aware of the various safety procedures and other rules governing beach areas and if not so it would be best to consult authorities and secure the proper permissions before you even think about organizing a beach barbecue party.

Once you have finalized on the venue the next step in line would be preparing for your barbecue on the beach. There are various grill types that you may use for barbecuing on the beach - you have the wood or charcoal grill, gas grill or you may also use a campfire tripod. Be sure to station your grill in a stable spot, away from any flammable material and secure from people probably knocking into it.

Bring your marinated meat, poultry or seafood in a cooler and take them out only when you’re ready to start barbecuing to avoid spoilage. Further, the last seasoning you would want on your barbecue on the beach is sand right? So keep them covered!

And of course, don’t forget to pack those barbecue sauces and hot sauces to spice up your barbecue dishes. Treat yourself and your friends’ taste buds to their line of extremely hot products; they would definitely go well with a good beer. Now that’s what I call one unforgettable barbecue on the beach party!
